Everyone is talking about the latest Twilight movie, New Moon.
The vampire love story penned by Stephenie Meyer is set in the Olympic Peninsula, Washington State, and we were lucky enough to secure tickets for the exclusive preview screening.
We invited leading travel writers to join us for the hugely anticipated Twilight sequel and the new movie certainly didn’t disappoint.
Edward was as moody and mysterious as ever but Jacob has changed from shy school boy to brooding werewolf and as when he transforms into the big bad wolf his clothes shred so he spends the majority of the movie topless – I had no complaints!
After the movie we headed for a bite to eat and drink and enjoyed a healthy debate on whether we were Team Edward or Jacob. I’d always been an Edward girl but found myself torn between the werewolf and vampire.
I just love the Twilight story and is it growing in popularity from an initial teenage girl fan base to a wide mass appeal.
The Olympic Peninsula has become a Mecca for fans, or ‘Twi-hards’ as they have now been labelled and the small town of Fork’s has seen a 1000 per cent increase in visitors numbers.
I’ve read all four books and can’t wait for the next instalment which is due for release early next summer.
